Radio Bobby: Top 5 New Music Releases (6/24)

In a new feature, I present to you RADIO BOBBY: TOP 5 NEW MUSIC RELEASES!

The purpose of this feature will be for me to share with you all what I’ll be enjoying on my radio – this week – and likely for the rest of the month or two or three …. or twelve, you get the idea.  I usually post “status updates” on Facebook that contain my Weekly Top 5 – so I figured, why not turn this into a feature.  The #1 Pick of the Week will contain my opinion of the song, #2 will have a one-sentence description.  3-5 will be listed. Click the links to be connected to iTunes!

Without any further delay, here are the Top 5 New Music Release for the week of June 24, 2013:

1.  “Come With Me” – Ricky Martin (tie) – Ricky Martin’s new single is sexy and steamy – just in time for summer.  With lyrics like: Your finger’s on my trigger – you play it like a winner… I got you now – I’m gonna take you to the edge tonight… I’ll show you how, so won’t you come with me tonight?” – how can you not deny its sex appeal.  Saucy lyrics play over a dance-inducing background.  Go with Ricky to the edge tonight!

1.  “Here’s The Thing” – Javier Dunn (tie) – If you love a great vocal – like Nate Ruess or Robin Thicke, then you’ll love this song from Javier Dunn’s new album “Trails.”  Dunn’s vocal and the song’s 80’s vibe lend themselves greatly to an evening of relaxation – perhaps just lying with your significant other on top of the sheets – or sitting under the stars outside with a nice gentle breeze – or cruising through the city with your windows down – great song!

2. “Take Me Away” – Leslie Grace – A nice up-tempo dance track from Latin artist Leslie Grace.

3. “Sun Up Sun Down” – Brook White f. Christian Campbell

4. “Drunk Last Night” – Eli Young Band

5. “Bad” – Wale f. Rihanna

Hope you all enjoy these selections.  Feedback is always welcome in the comments section and be sure to watch Ricky Martin perform “Come With Me” on The Voice (Australia)!
